We get so many inquiries from girls that want to book a boudoir session, but aren’t sure if they have the nerve to do it. Some say the don’t “feel sexy” enough… some say they don’t have “the best body”… and some are just timid. Well as much as we tell them, “don’t worry! We won’t put you in any poses that are unflattering to you and we will make you feel comfortable, we promise…” that doesn’t always work
So we asked a few of our boudoir clients if they wouldn’t mind telling you a little about their own experiences. I love what these ladies had to say! They always tell us they had so much fun and this and that, but it was really great to read some of the things we didn’t know. We love these sessions and have a blast, and really think you will too. So if you’ve been thinking about doing one and need a little push, read what these women had to say and maybe that will help. We’d love to meet with you and go over how the shoot will go! “Well, I am a really shy person in real life (though I’m sure Ann & Jenn didn’t notice!!). I’m a little overweight & was worried about how I’d look in lingerie. I’ve known of four other friends who’ve done Boudoir pics, and the advice was the same–”just relax & don’t do anything you wouldn’t do to make yourself feel sexy at home. Relax & have fun!” That’s the basic idea! You pose in ways & wear things that make YOU feel sexy! You are always covered, and they’re girls, too! They understand about insecurities, etc. They posed me in the best ways based on what I was wearing, and I even suggested a few poses that I had seen other girls in on the site. I thought it’d take me a while to warm up to everything going on, but when I started getting my hair & make-up done, it made me relax so much & made me feel much more confident. I looked & felt so sexy before we even started the shoot. It was so much fun & exciting!” -B
“I was a bit hesitant at first to book a boudoir shoot, even though I knew I really wanted to do it. I’m a modest person by nature and wasn’t sure if I would feel confident enough to take good photos. Let me just say, it turned out to be such a fun experience and wondered why I was ever nervous! Jen and Ann immediately made me feel at ease and allowed me to just be myself. Within 5 minutes of the shoot, my insecurities disappeared, and I was laughing and having a good time. Jen and Ann are so nice and respectful, and never made me feel pressured to step outside my comfort zone. I realized that they are on my side… they want my photos to look great, so I can trust them to put me in poses that allow my best qualities to shine! -M
“As a woman who hasn’t even gone as far to wear a bikini in public as an adult, the idea of having boudoir photographs taken was mildly frightening. After having my consultation with the Photographix girls, my anxieties quickly vanished. The day of the shoot I was sweating bullets once again, doubting my wardrobe choices, feeling insecure about my body, but the girls showed up, I pointed out the areas that I felt the most insecure about and they assured me that every pose would be flattering and this day was all about making me feel comfortable and sexy. We put on some music and had an absolute blast. It was one of the most liberating, amazing experiences I have had as a woman, and I truly felt sexy for the first time in a long time. The anticipation just about killed me when I was waiting for my photos and I was beyond ecstatic, as was my husband, when I got them back. For a woman who has had body issues my whole life and could always pick out a million things about every photo that I didn’t like, for once I had trouble finding a picture I didn’t like. Jen and Ann are incredible professionals, and absolutely the most talented photographers I have come across. I would do this again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it!” -J
“My mom has told me her only regret was not posing nude for a painting when she was young. She regretted not having a reminder of herself and her body at that age. I didn’t want to have that same regret, plus it was fun to give my guy a little book of me. At first, I thought, I need to lose some weight and firm up before I do this, but then I realized these pictures were about capturing me, exactly who I am, at this point in my life, and so I embraced it! Jen and Ann did a great job at making me feel comfortable (and a glass or two of bubbly didn’t hurt!), and I just tried to imagine the camera was my guy and give it the looks and love that I give him. The shoot was so fun, and you will regret it if you don’t do it!” -L
