Hi all, this is Jen  My best friend from childhood (since we were 10 years old… holy moly!) is getting married this spring, so myself with the rest of the fabulous bridesmaids put this shower together for her. I must say, none of us live in Evansville, or close to each other for that matter, so planning a shower with 3 heads and ideas, from 3 totally different states… well… needless to say, we were all a little skeptical about how it would all turn out! Luckily we are all pretty laid back, get it done people, and it turned out AWESOME! We are so proud of ourselves  We think it came together beautifully and Molly absolutely loved it! We couldn’t be happier or more excited for Molly & Luke!! Since I finally get to be IN a wedding instead of shooting the wedding, Ann will be capturing all of the delicious details of the day. Love it when we can finally come out of hiding and post bridal portraits! It kills us sometimes! We shoot so many months before the wedding and can’t show pics until after so the groom doesn’t see the dress, but we like to be sneaky too so we don’t show them This is Danielle… she has the most gorgeous “stare” and beautiful blue eyes  Enjoy a few from her bridal session we did back in June at the beautiful Belmont Mansion

It KILLS us having to wait till after the wedding to post bridal portraits!! It’s very hard to put images you love in the “save-for-later” folder! But now Abbe and Chase are happily married so we get to share with you her beautiful portraits  Love you Abbe! You are BEAUTIFUL and so much fun to work with! xo

Jen and I always get the same question about how does someone pick their photographer.  What do you ask…what is important to know?  So here you have it…Selecting the perfect photographer for your occasion!  Here are a few simple tips to making your day or session GREAT!

1.  Find the style or type of photography you are drawn to.  Is it traditional, classic, photojournalistic or the old school look?  Is it images that are bold, colorful and saturated or just a simple black and white that is more dramatic?

2.  Schedule a consultation to find your perfect match.  Whether you meet with 10 photographers or just 1, you need to make sure you are ultimately comfortable with them!  Nobody wants to spend the day or session with someone that you are unsure about…client or photographer!

3.  Look at more of their work including albums, prints, and other products.  Make sure that the quality is what you are expecting from them.

4.  Ask about their photographic accomplishments.  You would be amazed by what you might not know about your potential photographer!

5.  When you hire your photographer, keep in touch with them over the weeks or months leading up to your event.  Have meetings, talk via email or go have coffee to chat.  Clients are NOT just clients…they are friends!  Everyone loves to be in the loop and this helps builds your new friendship.  More than likely if your experience is great, you will be working together again in the future.

When we sit down at our consults this is usually what we find out about you!  What style you like, end product expectations and mostly if we all get along There is a photographer for everyone so don’t be afraid to find them!

We love a bride that isn’t afraid to take chances, and Megan was it! Megan loves to cook and hopes to do something in that field as a career, so we thought we’d help her out a little… Giada better watch out! We can’t wait for Billy to see these, she is going to knock his socks off! I’m picturing a big print right in the kitchen! We really had a great time with Megan and her best friend/awesome hair stylist and make up artist Kara! I had some feathers I wanted to use as a prop, and she whipped that thing in her hair like it was totally meant to be there, and it looked fierce! Megan, you totally know how to work it sister. Can’t wait for the big day!! xoxo

What a beautiful day we had to shoot Lindsay’s bridal portraits! And what a beautiful bride she makes! We had a great evening shooting at Southall Eden Farm. We love this place! So quite and peaceful Lindsay’s wedding is just over a month away and we are looking forward to seeing her groom have his breath taken away! She said he wouldn’t come look at the blog so we could post pics, so Jim Bell, if you’re reading this… STOP! Enjoy!
