Abbe & Chase Married: Scarritt Bennett + Macke’s {Nashville, TN Wedding Photography}

Abbe & Chase come from a repeat family of ours. We shot her sister Catilin’s wedding a few years ago and while we love the fact that their family fell in love with US, we are more thrilled that WE fell in love with THEM! The Andrew’s family has been so great and nice to us over the years and we are thrilled to add the Webber’s to our Photographix family:) The wedding day started out amazing with perfect sunny weather at Scarritt Bennett. We were having major deja vu since that is where Caitlin got married. All the same people back in the same room with the same emotions… so much fun! Abbe looked beautiful in her White Room dress! We started with the girls outside then went on to Chase’s side. Chase is so handsome and opted to where his glasses for the wedding day (we were all rooting for this decision… there’s something about a cute boy in glasses… ah:)) Anyway! The boys all looked handsome and were a ton of fun to work with. I love the photos Ann captured of Abbe and her dad right  before they were coming into the church… the lighting was to die for, and the way they are looking at each other just melts your heart. The ceremony was beautiful. My favorite part was the kiss… I think Chase was a little embarrassed to give Abbe a good kiss (his dad married them and was standing right there after all!). So he gave her a little peck… everyone started laughing and Abbe was not going to take just a peck, so she grabbed his face and planted a big one on him! Loved it;)The reception was at Macke’s in Green Hills. Everyone had a blast eating, dancing and conversing. The wedding day ended with little sister Hannah catching the bouquet! Can’t wait for wedding #3 with the Andrews clan!! Love you guys! xoxo

Sounds Game {Nashville, TN Event Photographers}

As many of you know, Photographix (look at our cute baseball logo!), sponsors local baseball teams at FBC.  We have been doing this for 2 years now and LOVE it!  It is a GREAT way to help out the boys and community…I strongly encourage you to help out if you can as well!  They always are in need of sponsors (www.fbcleagues.com) because this is such a growing sport in Franklin.

After the season ended, Jen and I decided we wanted to do something special for all the boys which they deserved for playing HARD and enduring the HOT HOT weather at times:) Sounds game anyone??!!  Yes, we took the team to the Sounds stadium and had a blast!  The boys got to hang out, eat junk food, and run around trying to catch foul balls.  What more could you ask for being 11 years old?  Needless to say, that ALL had a great time (and the Sounds won too)!  Check out the pictures below to see for yourself:) And please pay special attention to “Umpire Sophie”…she called all the shots!

Here’s a few of our faves from UNDREST:

Jessica & David Couples Session: Southall Eden, Leiper’s Fork TN {Nashville, TN Wedding Photography}

We met Jessica and David a little different way than we meet most of our clients. Ann and I were attending a luncheon/silent auction for cystic fibrosis and we were giving away a free session to bid on. Well Jessica and David bid on us and won! We were secretly hoping it would be them:) Jessica introduced herself to us at lunch and said she was placing a bid. We thought she was oh so stylish and cute and said a little prayer to the silent auction fairies and it was answered! It was coming up on their 1 year anniversary so not only did we get to do some fun casual shots, but they brought their wedding attire so we got to photograph them in those as well. Jessica and David make one of the cutest couples ever. They are both musicians (not the kind that “everybody in Nashville is”, but the REAL kind:)), and so super nice. So check out some of their beautiful photos and then  head on over to their websites and check THEM out! You’ll be glad you did:)(Photos taken at the uber fabulous Southall Eden Farm)

A little somethin’ somethin’ about David & Jessica:

David Dorn was born in rural South Carolina playing traditional gospel music. He made the move to Nashville to finish his college degree at Belmont University where he was a piano major.  Since graduation, David has gone on to open up his production company, Red Reel Productions. He plays for and produces numerous artists and songwriters from Nashville and across the country.   When he is not in the studio, he is co-writing and playing live shows with fellow band members of Calico Trail, his wife Jessica Roadcap, and various other artists. Check out his websites: David’s band website is www.myspace.com/calicotrail and his production/songwriter page is www.myspace.com/daviddorn

Jessica Roadcap was born and raised in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. The twenty-two year old singer-songwriter moved to Nashville in 2005 to attend Belmont University, and by December of 2008, she had earned her bachelor’s degree in music business.  She is currently planning for the June 15th release of her debut album, “Dance in a Hurricane,” to the Country/Americana music scene.  Each of the eleven songs featured on the album, written solely by Jessica or co-written with others, is performed passionately with a style that is all her own.  ”No one can seem to put a finger on who I sound like,” Jessica says. “I’m often a product of a blender… Until I moved to Nashville, I didn’t appreciate the fact that I was different. I am different. And I’m just beginning to explore that blessing.” Listen to a few of Jessica’s songs on her myspace page, they’re amazing! www.myspace.com/jessicaroadcap and then head on over to itunes and download her debut album that dropped TODAY!

Little Miss Ruby Mae: Spring Hill, TN {Spring Hill, TN Family Photography}

Meet Ruby Mae…8 months and counting!!!  She is such a doll and I just want to squeeze her:) With HUGE blue eyes like her mommy and looks just like her daddy who wouldn’t LOVE her!?!?!  Amy, my best friend (Ann’s) for over 20 years, came to visit a few weeks back and little Miss Ruby has been asking to be a Photographix baby for a while so we (Ann, Jen and even Daniel!) took advantage of our time together!  ENJOY this beautiful little girl:)

Shawn & Brian Married: Brentwood Baptist & Maggiano’s {Nashville, TN Wedding Photography}

We had so much fun with Shawn and Brian! Their wedding was small… 25-30 people. We love love love small weddings because we get to know everybody! There’s something so intimate about that:) They had an absolutely beautiful sunny day. We had never shot at Brentwood Baptist before, so shooting in their little chapel was a treat. It is so cute! We started out with Brian and his best man and 2 children. His son was so funny, he was acting all shy when I’m pretty sure he’s not really:) Brian’s daughter is beautiful and very photogenic… she get’s that from her dad… he didn’t take a bad picture all day! Shawn looked gorgeous in her wedding gown! She has that Panteen hair that I’m always jealous of. The reception was at the oh so yummy Maggiano’s in Nashville. Everyone ate family style, it was so nice. Then they spoiled us… after our time was over, they had us escorted up to the main dining room and we had our own meal, anything we wanted! It was the perfect way to end a wedding day:) Thank you so much guys, we had a wonderful time and love how your photos turned out! xoxo Jen & Ann

Amanda & Mike Married: Nashville Korean United Methodist Church {Nashville, TN Wedding Photography}

May 1st, 2010… flood. Wow, what a day! Ann and I started this wedding day like any other wedding day. Rain… well that sucks but hey! We have lights and we’ll be all good:) I was having lunch with my husband in Cool Springs and all of the sudden the tornado sirens start going off… oh this is lovely. Ann calls and says “let’s go ahead and meet at the church so we are there and ready to go”. I leave and head towards the church only to get a frantic call about 15 mins later from Ann going a little something like this: “um…  yea… so we are stuck here at American Signature… the water is waist deep and we can’t go anywhere… the cops have everything blocked off… I don’t think I’m going to make it to the wedding… Me: “…….breath…….:) Ok… you can handle this, you’ve done weddings on your own before… no problem! oh sh**, Ann has the lights!!” Oh… dear… Luckily, the church was amazing and had the best lighting, so yours truly didn’t NEED lights! Thank you Jesus! Needless to say, Amanda and Mike were a little frazzled that day. The wedding started 45 mins late, a groomsmen from out of town was caught in the flood (he made it half way through the ceremony and hopped on stage:)) , oh and did I mention it was POURING and FLOODING outside?? Luckily, even though I may have been a little frazzled myself inside, I hide it very well, and was able to keep everyone calm:) Once things got started everything went without a hitch! The day couldn’t have gone any better with everything that was going on outside. After the ceremony I got a call from Ann… she had made it out of American Signature safely and was at the reception site! YAY! I had my partner back!! The reception was at Journey in the Factory at Franklin… now it’s my turn to get stuck:) I left before the limo did. I was making my way down Franklin Rd and of course it was closed off at MacHatcher… so I went down Hillsboro rd… closed at Del Rio… hmmm… “Mrs. Officer lady… is there any way I can get to the factory for a wedding??” Mrs. Officer lady “is the wedding still on??” Uh yea.. yes it is:) So I’m on the phone with the limo people the whole time saying “you can’t go this way.. let me check this.. oh… nope… you can’t go that way either!!” We finally made it down Liberty pike about 2 hours late:)The reception was great! Everyone was having a blast and you never would have known all the chaos that went on earlier in the day. Amanda looked absolutely beautiful in her gown from Faccio and Mike made one handsome groom! They were so happy together, dancing, laughing, signing… it really was a great wedding. Unfortunately we weren’t able to get our beloved outside photos so we are going to do a couple’s session with them next week. I can’t wait to see them again and let Ann have her much needed bride and groom time!! xo

A family visit to Knoxville, TN {Nashville, TN Family Photography}

Hi, this is Jen:) Daniel and I went to visit my cousin and their boys a couple of weekends ago in Knoxville, TN. I’m lucky. I grew up with my cousins and feel that to this day we are still very close. So when Kevin (my cuz), got married and started having babies, I was so excited! First came Jack… who looks EXACTLY like Kevin! Jack is probably the sweetest little boy I have ever met. I don’t even think he went through terrible 2’s. Every time I saw him, he was smiling, singing… sweeping… ha! He loves a swiffer:) And is such a HAM! I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time with Jack when he was a toddler and man do I love that little man! Now Jack has a new baby brother named Coleman. Coleman is adorable… so compact and delicious:) I can’t wait to see how his personality explodes. Page is Kevin’s wife and the most perfect hostess. She had treats for us 24/7 and made us feel completely at home. It was really great to spend time with them. A lot of you may not know, but Daniel and I are adopting our first child, and being around family and children is where we are happiest. I can’t wait for people to visit US to see OUR kids:) So enjoy a few personal pics, they make me smile:)
