Southern Trace Farms barn wedding

31 Jan Tori and Rich married at Southern Trace Farms

“The mood was set at Southern Trace Farms in Franklin, TN. My wedding day was filled with so much love, joy, happiness, friends and family.  We were married in a 5,500 square foot barn on October 10, 2015 at five in the evening. The barn alone is breathtaking! You walk in and there are stables that open up and huge farm tables to set the mood. Extra-large doors that let you see the most spectacular sun sets and just the right amount of light. Rustic lighting and a huge man cave upstairs that any man would love to call his own.

Rich and I had permanent smiles on our face the entire day because of the love we had for each other and all those celebrating with us. I was beyond ecstatic to marry my best friend, my soulmate, and my true love. I couldn’t wait to walk down the aisle to finally marry the man I had dated for the last 6 years

That day was unusually cool and was the perfect temperature for our fall wedding. Summer Turvey Sheldon was my wedding coordinator and without her assistance, planning, knowledge, and patience, our day wouldn’t have gone as smoothly as it did. Jen and Ann helped put me at ease that day with their playful photography. Each shot they captured from our engagement shots, wedding, reception, bridal, getting ready, all just captured the mood perfectly. Candid shots they just happened to see through their lens at just the right time. They see things in these moments that we sometimes don’t see. I chose them not just because I’ve known Ann for many years, but because the two of them complement each other in the craft they do so very well, getting shots of great moments!

Southern Events set the stage with their rentals that added the perfect touch to this huge barn. Colors used to set the tone were deep purple, navy, tangerine, and light green. Always in Bloom helped with my floral and table designs. Little medicine bottles were utilized, single bud vases, along with wooden boxes to set the tone in the barn. Pumpkins, hay bales, mums were set along the inside of the barn as well as the exterior. Everyone enjoyed the dinner provided by Chef Penelope as well as the cake from Signature Cakes by Vicki. Vicki out did herself with the flavor combinations she offers and her cakes are nothing short of amazing. We decided to utilize the floral décor onto the wedding cake as well. It not only looked amazing, but tasted amazing too! We danced the night away at our fairytale wedding to our DJ Jay Clark. All were happy to celebrate our wedding! We cried, laughed, danced, and enjoyed the best moment to celebrate LOVE!!!”
